Imagine Youth, we are excited to begin posting regularly on this blog to encourage all of you and connecting more. Our hope is that we would connect with all of you via regular blog posts, email updates, Zoom calls, and Youtube videos. COVID-19 has been quite something, hasn’t it? I’ve really enjoyed the slower pace of life, and spending lots of quality time with family. How has it been for you? Often we are so hurried in all we do that we forget to put the things first that we truly deep down believe are the most important. It wasn’t until I was 18 years old that I was (gently) challenged by some young adult leaders to have one hour of time with God each and every day. At first I found this practice truly difficult and sometimes awkward. But over time I began to CRAVE and desire that time alone with just me and Jesus.
This week Josh Day, one of our amazing youth leaders, put together a video that will give you all lots to think about. Josh tells us about how significant it is what we focus our minds upon. Romans 8:5-6 says;
“those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”
Without further ado, let’s tune into Josh’s video and see what it means to set our minds on things of the Spirit. Please pepper our YouTube videos with comments so we can respond to you and know how the video impacted you.
Oh, before you go… We really want to start doing Zoom calls with you all. Email is our best format to provide secure information to host Zoom chats.
In order to make this happen we are needing a few more youth to sign up for our email list before we can begin Zooming! So if you haven’t signed up please click the link below:
You are awesomely created in His image!
